Welcome to Fungua (foon-goo-ah)

Fungua means "open" or "unlock" in Swahili. That's what we help you do — unlock HBCU scholarship opportunities. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. What Fungua Is

Fungua is a free, AI-powered platform that helps students explore accredited HBCUs, find scholarships they qualify for, track applications and deadlines, and practice interviews. Operated by Full Armour Professional Services LLC.

2. Eligibility

• Must be at least 13 years old
• Users under 18 must have parental permission
• Must provide accurate information
• One account per person

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure, not sharing your account, providing accurate profile information, and notifying us of unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. What Fungua Is Not

• Does NOT guarantee you will receive any scholarship
• Does NOT guarantee admission to any HBCU
• Does NOT guarantee you will qualify for any funding
• Is NOT a scholarship provider — we are a matching and tracking platform
• Is NOT affiliated with or endorsed by any HBCU unless explicitly stated
• AI matching is advisory, not definitive — always verify eligibility directly with the scholarship provider

5. AI-Powered Features

• Scholarship Matching: AI uses your profile to identify scholarships. Matches are based on stated eligibility criteria. Final eligibility is determined by the scholarship provider.
• Mock Interviews: AI-generated practice for preparation only. Do not share sensitive personal information during mock interviews.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to: use for unlawful purposes, submit false information, access another user's account, disrupt security, use bots/scrapers, reproduce content without permission, upload harmful code, or spam/harass others.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload. You grant Fungua a limited license to use it for matching, dashboard display, and application processing. We will not use your content for any other purpose without consent.

8. Intellectual Property

Fungua name, logo, and brand assets are owned by Full Armour Professional Services LLC. HBCU names and logos belong to their respective institutions. Scholarship listings belong to their providers.

9. Free Service

Fungua is free for students. Always. We do not charge students to search, match, save, or apply. We may introduce paid features for institutions in the future — students will never be charged.

10. Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

Fungua is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for missed deadlines, inaccurate third-party scholarship info, HBCU/scholarship provider decisions, or indirect/consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed $0.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Fungua from claims arising from your misuse, violation of Terms, infringement of rights, or false information.

13. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend accounts that violate Terms. Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Submitted applications cannot be retracted.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes communicated via email and site banner. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
